Your earnings will depend on each Company. Most Companies pay in Dollars which means if you’re a Tutor living in South Africa or any other country that has a weak exchange rate compared to the Dollar, you’re potential earnings would be more than someone living in the U.S. Most Companies start entry level Tutors at around $6 – $10 per hour ( $3 – $5 per lesson of 30 minutes each). When you’re an entry level Tutor you want to focus more on gaining experience. This means getting lots and lots of classes with student. This also means that you can teach around 200 – 300 lessons per month. 300 X $4 X your exchange rate.
This will depend on a combination of factors. The sooner you can complete your Tutor Profile ( Your Resume and Introduction Video ) the sooner you can Apply to Companies and Platforms. Then, depending on the Company, you will need to wait for a reply from the Company. Some take 2 – 3 days to reply, others can take up to 3 weeks. Once they reply, they will ask for an interview or demo which is usually scheduled within a week. Once you pass this stage it can take a few more days for on boarding, to teach you the system. Because we have training in our Course, you will be fully prepared to teach your students. Once this is done, you can start Tutoring.
Yes of course, once you enroll you and I will be connected on WhatsApp. Teacher's Pet is currently connected to over 2500 Online Teachers who love sharing their knowledge with new teachers. You will be added to a private WhatsApp group which is reserved for Teacher's Pet Teachers only. On the group you can ask questions, share your progress and speak to all of the Teacher Trainers.
Yes you can, the Course does mainly focus on Language Teaching but the basics of the Course are still applicable for Subject Teachers. You will have less Job Listing options but we constantly grow our List of Companies and new Companies are added every week. We also want to grow Our Resources to include Subjects as well.
