310 Hours Practicum Course – Full Life time Access Course.

Everything you need to become an Online Language Teacher. This Course has everything, from the basics to more advanced, from first hearing about Online Teaching to teaching a student in a Classroom. This Course consists of 5 Stages that focus on specific aspects of Online Teaching. So let’s take a look at the value you’ll get when you enroll in this Course:

Screening Call.

First, a Coach will need to check your English Language skill in order to assess if Teacher’s Pet will be able to get you hired as an Online Teacher. If you pass, you will be allowed to enroll in this Practicum Course. If you pass, we will be able to help you get hired. 

STAGE 1: NOVICE – PRACTICUM PRIMER.

Resume, Vesume, Cover Letter, Introduction Video, both American and British Accent Training Preparation. 

On top of what you’ve learned in the Practicum Primer Course, we’ll create a Professional Online Teaching Resume, Vesume and Cover Letter for you. We’ll also teach you how to create and update your own documents so that you can be a self reliant teacher. This way you will never need someone to create your documents for you again. Teacher’s Pet will do your Introduction Video Editing for you. We’ll add subtitles, music, graphics and much more to make your Video professional and elegant or fun and exciting. We’ll also prep you for your Accent training which will be covered in depth in Stage 4. But we need to see which Accent will best suit you, this way you can use what you’ve learned in your Introduction Video and Classroom in the future.

STAGE 2 – ADVANCED BEGINNER.

How to use the Full Practicum Course to your advantage, Learning how to use the Teaching Platforms like Classin, Zoom and Voov. We’ll also look at other collaboration tools and messaging software you’ll need to learn.

In Stage 2, We look at the full course and show you where to find what you need so that you can find the resources you’re looking for to help you teach your students. The course is constantly being updated with newly discovered software, apps and programs that will improve your teaching capabilities. Best of all, as a Member, you will have lifetime access to all future updates. We’ll show you how to actually use the platforms that you’re going to use to teach your students. We’ll look at the most common Collaboration Software and show you how to use the basics of each.

STAGE 3 – COMPETENT.

Lesson Planning, Creating a Teacher Portfolio, Canva Designing, Lesson Prep and Free Materials Websites, games and activities.

Stage 3 of the course is a lot of fun. We’re going to show you how to create your own Lesson Plans in the future. Very useful if you want to become an Independent Tutor one day and build your own business with your own students. No middleman (Company) so you keep all the fees you earn from your lessons. we’re going to show you Lesson Preparation and where to find free Online Teaching Materials that you can use to teach your students. You will never have to worry about where to find teaching materials to teach your students Grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary etc…We’ll show you how to create a Teacher Portfolio that can be sent to companies to show off your unique skills and capabilities. If your Vesume doesn’t make you stand out as an applicant, sending them a Portfolio that many don’t know how to make will certainly impress any company. We have Canva designing Tutorials that will teach you how to create images, presentations, videos and much much more. Coach Matthew has years of Canva designing experience and he’s going to teach you what he knows.

STAGE 4 – PROFICIENT.

Accent Training, Applying to companies, Passing your Demo and Interview as well as how to create a Recorded Demo.

Step 4 of this Free Practicum Primer Course was but a taste of what you still need to learn about Applying to companies. We haven’t even looked at a Motivation Letter yet. There is still loads more to learn including how to develop either an American or British Accent. This training filters into everything you’ll do for your future companies. We’ll show you how to improve and practice your Accent which will help boost your student bookings among other things. One of the most important stages on your Journey is passing your Demo and Interview. We’ll look at popular questions that most companies ask, give you responses as well as how to pass your Demo when you’re invited to one. If you fail your demo or interview, the company will only allow you to reapply in 3 – 6 months. So passing it the first time is crucial to getting hired asap. The final step of this Stage is to teach you how to create a Recorded Demo. Something that many teachers struggle with…well not you.

We even included an Automated Mock Interview which will test you in a practice Interview Setting. Our in-house Recruiting Coach Joanne will conduct an automated Interview with you, ask you a series of questions, wait for your response and then show you the answers to each question. This will help calm the nerves and prepare you for your real live interviews with companies.

STAGE 5 – CLASSROOM READY.

Teaching Materials to your students, Classroom and Time Management, Practice Demo, Trial Lessons and Payment Structures.

The final Stage of your Online Teaching Journey. Using your device and the knowledge you have gained in all the Stages leading up to this point. Enrolling in the 310 Hours Practicum Course includes a Free Practice Demo with one of our Teacher Trainers. They’ll be your student and make mistakes on purpose to see how you respond, they’ll give guidance and show you how to teach sections and pages of your materials so that you can learn How to impress companies during your real world Demo and Interview. This is an Amazing Confidence booster and will be recorded for you to use for training purposes. Watching others teach a lesson is not the same as teaching the lesson yourself. We’ll take you by the hand and show you exactly what to do during your lessons with your students. Everything you need to get you Classroom Ready.
