Welcome to the Free Practicum Primer Course. In this beginner course I am going to show you the first steps you should take on your journey to becoming an Online English teacher.

Step 1 – Equipment and TEFL Certification
Which equipment is needed for Online Teaching. How to test your Device to see if it's fast enough for Online Teaching. Becoming a Qualified and Certified Online English Teacher. Which Certificates do you need to teach online and where to find them. Do you need a degree in order to Teach online. What are the costs involved for getting a qualification? Why should you enroll in a course that is accredited and recognized?

Step 2 – Resume, Vesume and Cover Letter
Welcome to Step 2. This step was created to help you with your Teacher Profile. In it we will look at editing and updating your Online Teaching Resume, Vesume and Cover Letter. We'll take a look at why it's better to apply to Online Teaching Companies with a Resume instead of a CV, what a Vesume is and the purpose of a Cover Letter. We'll also look at a few examples to give you a basic understanding of how each looks like and what you can include in them.

Step 3 – Introduction Video
In Step 3, we will look at one of the most important things in your application...Your Intro Video. This Intro Video must be included in every application that is sent to companies. Some companies will even ask you to record a new Intro Video for their school where you mention the school by name. But before you get hired, you first need to create a universal Video that you can send to various companies to show them your Classroom atmosphere, language skill and Accent. You video needs to be at least 1 minute long in order to pass Accent screening at a company.

Step 4 – Applying to Online Teaching Companies
In Step 4 you will learn how to apply to online teaching companies as well as where to find the. We also included a list of Red Flag companies for you to watch out for as they have been reported by other teachers for scamming them or being abusive. We want to protect teachers like you and the best way of doing that is by informing you. We'll also look at where you can find a Supportive Community of Online Teachers who help give you guidance, advice and share job listings as well as other online teaching related resources.
